Job Title: Kitchen Staff

Location: Tema, East Legon, Haatso

Salary: GHS Tema, East Legon, Haatso

Reports To: Shop Supervisor

Position Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  1. Food Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Assemble and cook meals with a focus on health-conscious ingredients and cooking methods.
  1. Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment such as toaster and blenders. Follow cooking procedures to ensure food safety and quality. Monitor food during cooking to ensure proper temperature and consistency.
  1. Quality Control: Ensure all food items are prepared and served to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Check ingredients for freshness and proper storage.
  1. Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage. Regularly sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils.
  1. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
  1. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Documents

• High School Certificate or HND or Diploma in Catering and Hospitality/Food and Nutrition.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
