Job Summary

We are looking for an innovative and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team at CleanEats Limited. The Chef will be responsible for creating and executing a menu that aligns with our mission of providing nutritious, delicious, and quick meals. This role requires a strong commitment to health-conscious cooking and the ability to inspire and manage kitchen staff/production assistants.

Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Development: Develop and refine a menu that emphasizes healthy, balanced meals. Create recipes that incorporate fresh, wholesome ingredients. Stay updated on healthy food trends and incorporate them into the menu.
  2. Food Preparation and Cooking: Oversee the preparation and cooking of all menu items. Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and plating of dishes.
  3. Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff/production assistant, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques. Schedule and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation. Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
  4. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products. Ensure all dishes meet our standards for taste, appearance, and nutritional value. Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards.
  5. Inventory and Cost Management: Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for high-quality ingredients. Monitor food costs and adjust recipes and portion sizes to maintain profitability.
  6. Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and address concerns. Adapt the menu based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  7. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Regularly inspect kitchen equipment and facilities for cleanliness and proper functioning. Implement and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications & Documents

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in Food production or related field.
• Three (3) years of proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a health-focused or fast-food environment.
• Strong knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and nutrition.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Creative and innovative approach to menu development.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
