Job Title: Cashier/Wait staff

Location: Tema, East Legon, Haatso

Salary: GHS Tema, East Legon, Haatso

Reports To: Shop Supervisor

Position Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  1. 1. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service. Assist customers in selecting menu items and offer recommendations based on their preferences and dietary needs. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints efficiently and professionally.
  1. Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments (cash, credit and debit card, and MoMo), and issue receipts accurately. Maintain a balanced cash drawer and report any discrepancies to the supervisor. Handle transactions efficiently

during peak hours while ensuring accuracy and speed.

  1. Order Management: Take customer orders accurately and input them into the pointof-sale (POS) system. Ensure all orders are communicated to the kitchen staff correctly and delivered promptly. Monitor order status and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  1. Dining Area Maintenance: Keep the dining area clean and organized, including tables, chairs, and floors. Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area during opening and closing shifts.
  1. Food Handling: Serve food and juice to customers in a hygienic and appealing manner. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
  1. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and sales and marketing officers to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and manage busy periods. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes and company policies.
  1. Upselling and Promotions: Promote new menu items, and ongoing promotions to customers. Encourage customers to try add-ons and healthier options to enhance their dining experience. Provide information about loyalty programs and incentives to encourage repeat business.
  2. Any other assigned task

Qualifications & Documents

1. High school Certificate, Diploma, and HND in Accounting.
2. Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role, preferably in the food service industry.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
5. Knowledge of basic math and cash handling procedures.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
8. Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude.
