Job Title: Team Leader – Production

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Support: Assist the Production Supervisor in planning and coordinating daily production schedules to meet demand for fresh fruit juices, breads, and pastries. Supervise the production team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time, adjusting workflows as needed to maximize efficiency. Ensure all products meet quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and freshness.
  1. Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide on-the-job training for new team members, ensuring proper techniques for fruit juice processing, baking, and food safety. Monitor team performance, giving feedback and support to help team members achieve productivity targets.
  1. Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process, promptly identifying and addressing any issues. Ensure all raw ingredients, including fruits, grains, and other baking materials, are fresh and handled according to health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization within production areas, upholding company standards for hygiene and safety.
  1. Inventory & Stock Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels, reporting any shortages of ingredients, packaging materials, or equipment to the Production Supervisor. Help with stock rotation to ensure freshness and reduce waste. Perform basic inventory checks and record usage, assisting with ordering as needed.
  1. Equipment Maintenance & Safety: Ensure that production equipment, including juicers, mixers, ovens, and other machinery, is in good working order and regularly maintained. Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all team members follow procedures for handling equipment and maintaining a safe work environment. Address any safety hazards or concerns, escalating issues to the Production Supervisor if necessary.

Qualifications & Documents

• Education: HND/Diploma or equivalent. Additional training in food production or baking is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a food production or bakery setting, with some supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Skills:
o Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
o Knowledge of food production equipment and familiarity with safety standards for handling food products.
o Good communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions and constructive feedback.
